One of the main objectives for Real Madrid heading into the summer transfer window is to sign a new midfielder.
A number of high-profile targets have been identified already, with names like Rodri of Manchester City, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, and Chelsea ace Enzo Fernandez all being mentioned as potential candidates.
However, the major issue in their cases is that Real Madrid will have to undertake a massive overlay in order to sign them from the Premier League.
Given the situation, Los Blancos are also keeping an eye on younger, cost-effective alternatives in order to bolster the midfield.
According to AS, Real Madrid have their sights on VfB Stuttgart ace Angelo Stiller and Eintracht Frankfurt starlet Hugo Larsson as cheaper alternatives for the midfield department in the summer.
Stiller has been making a name for himself in the Bundesliga over the past couple of seasons and is a player that has sparked comparisons to Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos.
At 24 years old, the German international also has some degree of experience as well and has been tipped for bigger and better things.

Meanwhile, Larsson has established himself as one of the most talented young players in the Bundesliga since joining Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023.
The 20-year-old Swedish ace has been a regular in the side this term as Eintracht finished third in the table, catching Real Madrid’s attention.
As per the report, both Stiller and Larsson will likely be available for a sum of €40 million in the summer, making them much more financially feasible than some of the bigger-name targets. However, signing the Bundesliga pair might also represent a gamble.
As such, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid go after Stiller or Larsson in the summer or decide to chase the established big-name stars in their bid to strengthen the midfield.
