All the talk surrounding Real Madrid heading into the summer transfer window has been around their pursuit of PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman is expected to arrive this summer on a free transfer with his contract at PSG expiring.
Alphonso Davies is another key target for Real Madrid and things seem to be progressing positively in pursuit of the Bayern Munich left-back as well.
Leny Yoro of Lille is another player that the Merengues are chasing and are potentially on track to beat the likes of Chelsea and PSG to his signing.
Now, reports in England have put forward another name that Real Madrid are allegedly chasing in the summer, but could face a tough battle for his acquisition.
Indeed, as per the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are in the race to sign RB Leipzig and Spain forward Dani Olmo this summer.
However, they are set to face intense competition from as many as four Premier League heavyweights in the form of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Olmo, 25, signed a new contract with Leipzig last June that runs until 2027, but it contains a release clause worth £52 million (~€60 million), which will come into effect in the summer.
It has seemingly sparked a flurry of interest in the Spaniard, who is capable of playing anywhere in the final third of the pitch and has proven to be a reliable goalscoring outlet.

It must be noted that Real Madrid had expressed an interest in Olmo last summer as well, when his contract situation at Leipzig made him a favourable target, but nothing came of it.
With Mbappe and Endrick set to arrive in the summer, Real Madrid’s forward line will be well-stocked. Furthermore, there is also a very strong possibility of making Joselu’s signing permanent too.
So quite where Olmo would fit into the scheme of things at the Santiago Bernabeu, should he be signed.
However, as has been previously reported, Real Madrid intend to boost up the number of Spanish players in their squad, which might be a factor behind the alleged interest in Olmo.
The Merengues got a good look at him when they faced RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. He also starred for Spain in the 3-3 draw against Brazil earlier this week at the Santiago Bernabeu.
