Vinicius Junior’s contract situation has become a key talking point at Real Madrid, with the attacker poised to sign a new deal.
It has been reported earlier that Vinicius already has a verbal agreement with Real Madrid over a contract that will make him the highest-paid player at the club.
However, the contract is yet to be signed and subsequent reports have indicated that there are certain roadblocks the two entities are facing, in their bid to reach a final agreement.
According to COPE, Real Madrid are currently waiting for Vinicius to return from his ongoing vacation this summer.
Once the Brazilian international returns to Bernabeu, Real Madrid are expected to try and expedite the process of his renewal.
The report adds that Real Madrid have not received any fresh offer for the attacker either, despite the recent links to Saudi Arabia.

Indeed, a recent report has indicated that Saudi Arabia are plotting a world record €350 million bid for Vinicius Junior this summer.
However, Los Blancos have not received any official bid as of yet and everything suggests Vinicius may end up signing a new deal at the Bernabeu.
But it will be interesting to see whether or not the club are ready to make him the highest-paid player at the Bernabeu, considering the fact that Kylian Mbappe has clearly outshone him since joining the club.
The Frenchman notably won the Pichichi trophy and the Golden Boot award in his first season in La Liga. Vinicius, in contrast, perhaps had his worst season in quite some time.
A renewal that would make the Brazilian the highest-paid footballer at the club, therefore, may create a rift within the dressing room.
