Real Madrid actively working on key contract renewal | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid are continuing to work towards an agreement with star attacker Vinícius Jr, over a new contract.

That’s according to Relevo, who have this weekend provided a fresh insight into the situation.

The name of winger Vinícius has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the month to date.

This comes after word was forthcoming that a number of leading clubs in the big-spending Saudi Pro League remain keen on the signature of the Brazilian.

To date, no such outfit has done enough to convince Vinícius of the merits of a move away from Madrid.

But, as alluded to above, amid ongoing concern when it comes to as much, those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu are working hard to tie the 24-year-old down for the long-term.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘Madrid, which leaves the decision in his hands, is working to renew his contract beyond 2027 and to offer him a salary increase that corresponds to the level of the Ballon d’Or.’
