Real Betis star admits Isco is ‘the best teammate I have had in my career’ | OneFootball

Real Betis star Cédric Bakambu has this week named Isco as the best player whom he has ever played with.

Midfielder Isco, for his part, is of course in the midst of another wonderful individual campaign to date.

Having recovered from a long-term injury absence, the former Real Madrid man has wasted little time in reestablishing himself as one of Spanish football’s standout performers.

All told, Isco has racked up six goals and three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions. This includes the winner in a La Liga meeting with reigning champions Real Madrid last weekend.

And one individual on whom such brilliance has evidently not been lost comes in the form of the aforementioned Cédric Bakambu.

Frontman Bakambu took his place in front of the media in a press conference on Thursday.

And, during the exchange, the 34-year-old made use of the opportunity to sing the praises of Isco:

“I think Isco is the best teammate I have had in my career. He is at another level. We are lucky to have a player like him at Betis. I hope he returns to the national team, but the most important thing is that with his level he leads us to achieve our objectives with Betis.”
