La Liga outfit Real Betis have this week announced a series of setbacks on the personnel front.
As much comes owing to developments in the club’s La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad over the weekend.
Manuel Pellegrini’s troops are fresh off an altogether impressive three-point haul on Sunday, which saw them put three goals past Sociedad without reply.
The result, however, came at a heavy cost when it comes to injuries.
As confirmed by Betis by way of a series of statements (as cited by Mundo Deportivo), all of Marc Roca, Giovani Lo Celso and Ángel Ortiz picked up fitness problems last time out.
Midfielder Roca, who netted a brace on the evening, has suffered ‘a partial injury to the flexor plate of the second metatarsophalangeal joint of his right foot’.
Verdiblancos summer signing Lo Celso, meanwhile, picked up ‘a medium-grade injury to the middle third of the soleus of his right leg’.
And last up, youngster Ortiz was dealt ‘a post-traumatic grade II sprain of the external ligament of his right ankle’.
All three players are now expected to miss several weeks of action.
