Raphinha’s agent decision to make life ‘complicated’ for Barcelona | OneFootball

A head-turning decision reached by Barcelona star Raphinha has not gone down at all well amongst those behind the scenes at the club.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have this week provided an insight into the situation.

The call made by the Brazilian international surrounds his representation.

Raphinha, at the time being, does not have an agent, nor does any wider organisation handle his affairs.

The position was most recently held by Deco, who vacated his role as the former Leeds United man’s agent upon accepting the offer to become Barcelona’s sporting director.

Since, a whole host of high-profile figures in the game have attempted to convince Raphinha to allow them to oversee his affairs away from the pitch.

None, however, have proven successful.

As per the aforementioned Sport, the 27-year-old has in turn come to the decision to enter the summer transfer window without any form of representation.

With Barcelona keen to move him on to fund reinforcements to Xavi’s squad, the Blaugrana have in turn been put in something of a difficult position.

Raphinha is set to spend a significant chunk of the upcoming summer on international duty, with Brazil at the Copa América.

The winger, who has no intention of bringing his stint in Barca colours to a close with a view to next season, will as a result be essentially unable to tend to any matters when it comes to his future.
