Raphinha is a man on a mission in Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final tie with PSG.

The Brazilian has been criticised for his performances since making a big-money move from Leeds United in 2022, but he is quickly silencing his doubters with a trio of big goals for the Blaugrana in the tie.

After bagging a brace in the French capital last week, Raphinha has picked up right where he left off by firing home a superb Lamine Yamal cross in the opening 15 minutes to put Xavi’s men two ahead on aggregate.

He is also the first Blaugrana player to score three times in the same quarter-final tie in this competition since Neymar in 2015 – which also came against PSG.

The Brazilian would not have been the first name that came to mind when thinking of Barça players that could almost singlehandedly win the tie for Spanish giants.

Nonetheless, he is showing up when it means the most.
