Roma manager Claudio Ranieri spoke to Sky Sport shortly after the team’s 2-2 draw with Bologna at the Dall’Ara.

“In the first half we had Bologna under control,” he said. “They complained at the end and I didn’t understand why. There was a penalty, clear as day, as there was one for them earlier on.”

“The team give their all, and when the players give their all I’m happy,” he added.

“It’s a shame because we could have scored on a number of occasions, but the team doesn’t give up and I like that. When you fight to the end, the boys always deserve praise.”

“The thing I didn’t like in the first half was that we had to play faster, with more rhythm. We were moving around but we didn’t have the speed of execution that I like, we were too slow and we played the ball back too much.”

“Dovbyk? He is one of the first as a penalty taker because there is Dybala, Paredes and him. The other two were not there and it seemed right to give him the responsibility.”

“Zalewski first stepped up but I wanted Artem to take it. He is a very cool player, in Girona he scored many goals on penalties.”

“During games de doesn’t shoot much on goal and we also have to learn to serve him quickly because he loves to go into space. Instead, many times we don’t give it to him as we should. I think that little by little we will involve him more and more.”
