Ibrox Noise has faced criticism over our Russell Martin stance, with one user claiming we want him to fail. Rangers fans disagree on Russell Martin.

We want Rangers to succeed, yet this Rangers feels nothing like the club we grew up with. It’s a politically correct Hearts in blue, and Hearts play better right now.

Martin’s ethos, signings and regime do not resemble Rangers as we know them. For example, think Walter, Eck, Advocaat, Gio or Stevie – Martin does not match them.

If Martin succeeds, then this version of Rangers becomes the future.

Therefore, we reject that.

We dislike Martin and what he stands for, and he offers little more than Neil Lennon would as Rangers manager. Consequently, we refuse to accept being told to support something we don’t want.

Just as you can’t pick your family, you can’t pick your managers either. If someone makes a family member head of the family, you won’t like or support them, so you’ll protest.

No Rangers fan should feel forced to like the manager. Instead, support must remain a choice. We will always support Rangers, but right now it doesn’t feel like Rangers.

Martin is not a Rangers manager by any standard we know. Rangers fans disagree on Russell Martin.

Furthermore, the ownership runs the club poorly and remains out of touch, while the squad is simply a more expensive Aberdeen.

We want a real Rangers manager – a Walter or an Eck – someone who gets it.

Even more, we want someone who wears a tie. Even Pedro wore a tie.

For now we have Russell Martin, He’s better than that. Hence we’ve won 4 of the 12 matches he’s managed us.
