Ramos header gives Monterrey draw with Inter Milan

PASADENA, Calif. – The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 continued as CF Monterrey and FC Internazionale Milano drew 1-1 in Group E at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, USA.
Sergio Ramos opened the scoring in the 25’, giving Rayados the lead with a towering header inside the box on a corner kick opportunity. The goal was the fourth for the Spanish legend in seven total FIFA Club World Cup appearances. Óliver Torres provided the assist on the play.
CF Monterrey goalkeeper Esteban Andrada had a notable intervention in the 28’, pulling off a key save to deny an attempt from Inter Milan’s Sebastiano Esposito inside the box.
Lautaro Martínez equalized for the Nerazzurri in the 42’, striking from close range to capitalize on an assist by Carlos Augusto on a set piece delivery.
Sergio Canales came close to reestablishing Rayados’ lead in the 64’ with a long-range attempt that bounced off the base of the right post.
Monterrey pushed for the winner throughout the remaining minutes but could not pull away as both sides took a point.
CF Monterrey will carry on with its campaign facing Club Atlético River Plate on Saturday at the Rose Bowl Stadium.
