PSG take on Seattle Sounders at the FIFA Club World Club this evening knowing a win will be enough to seal progress to the knockout rounds.
The European champions suffered a shock setback in round two, losing 1-0 to Botafogo. However, the fate of Luis Enrique side remains in their own hands. Victory over Seattle Sounders, who have lost each of their opening two fixtures, will take PSG into the last 16.
Tonight’s fixture will be hosted at The Sounders’ Lumen Field home.
Luis Enrique is likely to remain without leading scorer Ousmane Dembele, who is nursing a thigh issue. The French champions will hope Dembele can participate in the knockout rounds if progress is secured this evening.
PSG have no margin for error tonight so expect Enrique to go as strong as possible. Marquinhos, Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz and Nuno Mendes all started the defeat to Botafogo on the bench.
That quartet should return, while Bradley Barcola may also return to lead the line if Dembele is unable to feature. He will compete with Goncalo Ramos for a place in the side this evening.
PSG predicted XI: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia.
Seattle Sounders face Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup on Monday 23rd June 2025. Kick-off in the contest is 8pm BST.
