Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Paris Saint-Germain won the Coupe de France this evening, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia pulled out a week before the Champions League Final against Inter.

That showdown for the biggest trophy in club football will be staged in Munich next Saturday night.

PSG had the ideal build-up, because they crushed Stade Reims 3-0 to win the Coupe de France this evening, thanks to a brace from Bradley Barcola and a clincher before half-time by ex-Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi.

That put them on the verge of the Treble, having already won the Ligue 1 title, not to mention the French Super Cup.

However, there was one concern, as former Napoli star Kvaratskhelia was nowhere to be seen in this big match.

Initially, he was named in the starting XI, but then moved to the bench and replaced by Desiré Doué.

According to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, Kvaratskhelia’s situation deteriorated and he went home before the end of the game.

Inter played last night, beating Como 2-0, but that was insufficient to stop Napoli taking the Serie A title.

That means Kvaratskhelia earned a Scudetto winners medal, as well as winning Ligue 1 with PSG.
