With Randal Kolo Muani now at Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to offload the Frenchman permanently, whether it be with the Turin-based club or somewhere else.

As a result, PSG will need to pursue a No. 9, likely in the summer, but they have already been linked to strikers such as Jhon Durán, who is 21 years old and barely scratching the ceiling of his potential.

From now until the summer, the Parisians will be linked to various center-forwards, understanding that they need to boost their position as all PSG currently have is Gonçalo Ramos.

In his column for PSG Talk Extra Time, Zach Lowy, co-creator of Breaking The Lines, urged the current Ligue 1 leaders to make a serious push for LOSC Lille standout Jonathan David.

“David checks all the boxes for PSG’s center forward search – on and off the pitch,” Lowy wrote. “At 25, he’s still only approaching the prime of his career, and yet, he’s already established himself as one of the finest finishers in the game for Lille and Canada. And what’s more, he’s set to leave Lille on a free transfer this summer, with his contract set to expire on June 30. Whilst David is set to earn a hefty commission and a pay rise, Lille will come away empty-handed.

“After spending €70 million on Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratshkelia in the January window, PSG will need to tread carefully in the transfer market in order to steer clear of Financial Fair Play sanctions. By signing David on a free transfer, PSG could afford to commit financial resources to other pressing needs and improve the entire squad.”

David will be in high demand this summer if he does hit free agency once the season is over. Among the clubs linked to the Canadian are Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Should he extend his contract to leave money for Lille, considering the state that French clubs find themselves in, Transfermarkt put the player’s transfer value at €45 million.
