According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have been informed that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay a record-breaking €250 million fee to sign young talent Lamine Yamal.

It is said that PSG see Yamal as the perfect replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who recently signed with Real Madrid. Despite that, however, Barcelona have made it clear that Yamal is not for sale, and there will be no negotiations.

Last March, Barcelona president Joan Laporta mentioned in an interview that the club had already turned down an offer of €200 million for Yamal. It was later revealed that this offer came from PSG, the same club now prepared to increase their bid by another €50 million, making it €250 million.

This staggering amount highlights the high regard the market has for Yamal’s potential and talent, as PSG view him as the ideal player to lead their team into a new era after Mbappe’s departure.

Despite PSG’s interest and willingness to break their own record, Barcelona hold a strong position. Yamal’s contract includes a termination clause set at €1,000 million, which was established when he renewed his contract in October.

This contract ties him to Barcelona until 2026. However, because he is still a minor, he could not sign a longer-term deal at that time. There is already an agreement in place to extend his contract until 2031 once he is of age.

Yamal’s career trajectory at Barcelona is exceptional, and the club is keen to nurture his growth. Since making his debut for the first team at just 15 years old, Yamal has been given ample opportunities to showcase his talent.

Barcelona see him as a crucial part of their future, especially with the reopening of Camp Nou. His agent, Jorge Mendes, is also aware of the bright future that lies ahead for his client at Barcelona.

In summary, while PSG are prepared to offer a record-breaking €250 million for Yamal, Barcelona have no intention of selling their young star.

They have shown unwavering support for his development and view him as a key player for their future. Despite the immense financial offer from PSG, Barcelona’s message is clear: “Yamal is not for sale.”
