There continues to be a need for FC Barcelona to generate some important revenue this summer. La Blaugrana are still unable to operate under the 1:1 rule, and returning to it is seen as being crucial for the club. As a result, some difficult decisions might need to be made by Barcelona as well.
These decisions can included deciding to offload certain players who are seen as important figures for the club even if they are not nailed-on starters. Losing such players can definitely cause issues, but it is up to the club to decide if they are willing to take the heat for it.
Considering the current financial situation of the Catalan giants, they might not have much of a choice in terms of simply having to assess most offers that come their way. Now, they might even have to deal with Paris Saint-Germain if the French club comes knocking with a new offer that is reportedly in the making.

According to the latest information provided by Fichajes, PSG is currently preparing an offer worth €80 million to try to lure Barcelona Golden Boy Gavi away from the Catalan club. In fact, PSG coach Luis Enrique is pushing for the move in order to make Gavi a key piece in his team.
Having already coached him during his time as head coach of the Spanish National team, the former Barcelona coach now wants Gavi to join him in France as per the report. Thanks to his intensity and technical ability, the Spanish midfielder is seen as a great match for the Parisians.
Seen as a natural successor to Fabian Ruiz and a component that could work well in the machine run by Vitinha and Joao Neves, PSG see him becoming a great asset to the club’s midfield structure. Moreover, the report claims that even Barcelona is not ruling out a sale.
With many players already established within Barça as regulars, and with Marc Bernal potentially returning soon as well, Gavi’s already limited minutes could be challenged even further. The 20-year-old La Masia talent would have to assess his future, even if his heart beats for the Catalan club.
Interestingly, however, this is not the first report to link PSG to midfielders currently playing for the Catalan club. Still, it seems unlikely that La Blaugrana would be open to offloading Gavi this summer as he remains a player fully trusted by the club.
