Barcelona’s ongoing registration issues with Dani Olmo have attracted the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, who are now considering signing the Spanish player.
According to a report from SPORT, the French club is closely monitoring the situation, as Barcelona faces significant hurdles in registering Olmo as well as fellow player Pau Victor.
Barcelona recently suffered a setback when a judge from the Commercial Court number 10 of Barcelona rejected the precautionary measure that would have allowed the club to register Olmo and Victor.
While the club intends to appeal this decision and explore all legal avenues, time is running out, and the chances of a favourable resolution are becoming slimmer.
The uncertainty surrounding Olmo’s registration has not gone unnoticed, with PSG showing an interest in the situation.
Gregory Paisley, a former footballer, discussed Olmo’s potential fit with PSG on a recent RMC talk show. He suggested that Olmo would be well-suited to PSG’s playing style, particularly under manager Luis Enrique.

Though PSG have not yet made an official move, there is growing speculation that the French club could seize this opportunity if Barcelona’s registration issues persist.
It must be noted that Olmo was a crucial player for Spain under Luis Enrique, especially during the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
He was a regular starter, playing all 90 minutes in Spain’s matches against Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, and Morocco. His performances during the tournament have only increased his profile, making him a desirable target for PSG.
Despite these challenges, Barcelona are not giving up on Olmo and is exploring alternatives to resolve the issue.
One of the club’s plans involves activating a new economic lever by selling VIP seats at the future Spotify Camp Nou.
This sale to a Qatari company is expected to generate €120 million, which will be used to secure the registration of players like Olmo.
Barcelona remain determined to go through these financial difficulties, but the situation remains uncertain as PSG watch closely from afar.
