Daniel Farke’s team are currently second in the league standings and have won five out of their last six matches. PNE are unbeaten in their last five games, but with four of those games ending as draws, they will be keen to add more wins to their tally.

There have been plenty of meetings over the years, no fewer than 63 competitively, and you can see some of the action from that time below…

Defensively, the two teams both have strong records in the league so far this season. The hosts have kept eight clean sheets up to now from their 20 matches played, but offensively will want to add more, having only scored 20 times.

Leeds have also been strong in defence with 11 clean sheets up to this point. In attack though, they’ve been just as strong with a league high of 36 goals scored, having had 13 different scorers in that time.

Both teams have the possibility of moving up the league table at full-time, if they are to claim what would be a big three points.

The Whites could jump back above Sheffield United - even with a draw - but staying there would depend on results later on in the weekend.

North End are on the climb themselves and again, depending on results elsewhere, they could claw back the gap to the play-off places of which they are currently 10 points behind.
