Following their midweek success in their UEFA Champions League opener, Juventus turn their attention back to domestic matters, as they prepare to welcome Napoli to the Allianz Stadium in Matchday 5 of this season's Serie A.

Ahead of Saturday's 18:00 CEST kick-off, here's all you need to know to prepare yourself for this weekend's big clash:

Head-to-head

  • Juventus are both the side that has won the most matches (71) and scored the most goals (227) against Napoli in Serie A, with 48 draws and 37 Partenopei wins completing the head-to-head record.
  • There has only been one draw in the last 14 meetings between Juventus and Napoli in Serie A: 1-1 on 6 January 2022 at the Allianz Stadium.
  • Juventus have won 10 of their last 13 home matches against Napoli in Serie A, including the last one played in the league (1-0, with Gatti on target).
  • Among the teams faced at least 15 times away from home in Serie A, Juventus is one of the two, like Inter, against which Napoli have the lowest percentage of away wins: the Partenopei have recorded just nine victories in 78 matches played in Turin, with 21 draws and 48 losses.

Interesting Facts

  • Juventus are the only team yet to concede a goal this season in Europe's top five leagues. They are also the side to have conceded the fewest shots on goal (five) and the side with the lowest Expected Goals Against (1.5).
  • The Bianconeri have only conceded one goal in their last seven home league matches (Niccolò Pierozzi's goal against Salernitana on 12 May), recording three clean sheets in their last three. Juve have not kept a clean sheet in more home Serie A matches since the period between October 2022 and January 2023 (five in that case).
  • Napoli are in second place on the table with nine points, thanks to three consecutive victories after Matchday 1's defeat, and have not recorded four straight Serie A wins since the run of eight between January and February 2023 under Luciano Spalletti.
  • Saturday’s visitors are the only team to have already scored four goals in the last 15 minutes of the game so far this season. More specifically, these four goals have all come in the final minutes of added time - over the entire Serie A season last year, the Partenopei only scored two goals beyond the 90th minute.
  • Among Juventus coaches with at least 50 matches in charge, Antonio Conte is second only to Carlo Carcano in terms of success rate in all competitions (68% vs 71%); in fact, the current Napoli coach is only one of six coaches to have surpassed 100 wins in Bianconero (102W, 34D, 15L).

  • Danilo's first goal in Serie A came on 31 August 2019 just against Napoli, just 29 seconds after he entered the field for his Serie A debut with Juventus. The next match will be Danilo's 200th appearance with Juventus across all competitions.
  • The first of Andrea Cambiaso’s four Serie A goals came against Napoli on 29 August 2021, but in a Genoa shirt. All four of Andrea’s goals in the tournament have all come in home games, and in the second half.
