Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has won the Premier League's Player of the Month award for April.

He becomes the fourth Argentine in history to claim the honour after Juan Sebastian Veron, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Agüero.

Mac Allister scored twice and assisted once, including a fine strike on the day his side were crowned champions with a 5-1 win over Tottenham at Anfield.

It is the second time a Liverpool player has won the award this season, with Mo Salah victorious twice, in November and February.

Elsewhere, Wolves boss Vitor Pereira won the Manager of the Month award for the first time in his career.

He oversaw a perfect month in April in which his side won all five matches to secure their top flight status for next season.

Pereira is the fifth Portuguese coach to win the award and is also the fourth time this season someone from the Mediterranean nation has won it.
