Fiorentina director Daniele Pradè blasted Bologna boss Vincenzo Italiano for his ‘immensely disrespectful’ celebrations. ‘I understood a lot about the man.’

It was the first time that Italiano had faced his former club after three years where he took the Viola to two Europa Conference League Finals and the Coppa Italia Final.

He saluted all the players individually before kick-off, including those on the bench, but the tension of the occasion got to him and he let loose with wild celebrations at the final whistle of the 1-0 victory.

“I did not like Italiano’s attitude towards our fans one little bit,” Pradè told DAZN.

“Together we shared joy and pain, so I found this behaviour immensely disrespectful. I understood a lot about the man today.

“I did not meet with Italiano after the match and I didn’t want to meet with him either.”

Fiorentina had won nine consecutive Serie A games, but the mood at the training camp has been flying up and down for a couple of weeks.

Edoardo Bove collapsed during their game with Inter, which had to be suspended as he was rushed to hospital.

The midfielder visited his teammates yesterday for the first time since being released, but then this morning coach Raffaele Palladino had to leave because he received news that his mother Rosa had died.

Assistant manager Stefano Citterio stood in on the bench for Palladino.

“We went from the joy of seeing Edoardo Bove at the Viola Park to this sudden loss,” continued director Pradè.

“Preparation for the match started with this shock. I also thought that there was a clear penalty not awarded to us that could’ve changed the game.

“Fiorentina are ambitious. We played well in the first half, while Bologna did better after the break. I continue to say that the incident on Albert Gudmundsson could’ve changed everything.”

Gudmundsson ran into the box and tried to dink the ball over on-rushing Lukasz Skorupski, having already taken the shot by the time they connected.
