West Ham United boss Graham Potter has already made a considerable impact at the London Stadium since replacing Julen Lopetegui in January, with the Hammers looking to go from strength to strength when they clash with Newcastle United on Monday.
Though the capital club sit 15th and well below where they want to be, Potter's influence has taken hold in East London, with back-to-back recent wins against Arsenal and Leicester City, creating a 16-point buffer between them and the bottom three.
Ahead of the home fixture against Eddie Howe's Magpies, Potter was asked if his work on the training ground was coming to fruition on the pitch after the club's recent winning run was the first of its kind in a year.
"Well, I think sometimes yes, and sometimes you know there's more to do and more to improve. That's just how it is I think," he said.
"It's been a couple of months since we've been here, which isn't that long, but at the same time you can do a lot in that time, which we think have."
"As I've always said, the players responded really well. They train really well. They've taken on board what we've asked them to do and think about, but we know we're a work in progress and there's lots more to improve."
With Newcastle suffering a selection crisis as well as a cup final on the horizon, the Hammers could be primed to take advantage of their circumstances while continuing their charge up the bottom half.
