Few players impressed like Tijjani Reijnders last season, and AC Milan have already put their foot down when it comes to interest in the mercato, according to a report.

It was only the Dutchman’s first season in a ‘top’ European League last season, but at face value, you wouldn’t see it as that. Regardless of his position, the Dutchman oozed class on several occasions, and even though his position fluctuated, his importance did not.

No player played more minutes in Serie A for Milan than the Dutchman did, which shows his importance to the side and reliability, and Paulo Fonseca is building his midfield with Reijnders at the forefront of his plans.

The midfielder is seen as a ‘pillar’ of the team, and the signing of Youssouf Fofana is seen as a key to unlocking his best, where he can have attacking freedom to create, and we saw glimpses of how effective he can be in this role for the Netherlands.

With this in mind, the Rossoneri do not see the midfielder leaving the club anytime soon, and a departure this summer is ‘absolutely not an option’ unless a ridiculous offer is received, according to PianetaMilan.

This morning, PianetaMilan also reported that Juventus apparently had an interest in including him in a Chiesa deal, but other options are being looked into in that case. Additionally, AS Roma also were tempted to ask about his involvement in a deal for Tammy Abraham, but again, other options are being looked into.
