Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has delivered a message after Ruben Amorim slammed him in the immediate aftermath of the club’s victory over Fulham.
United beat Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage courtesy of a second-half goal from Lisandro Martinez.
Yet again, Rashford was left out of the team. The forward has now not featured in United’s last 11 games across all competitions.
Rashford’s last taste of competitive minutes came in the Europa League meeting with Viktoria Plzen on December 12.
Shortly before Christmas, Rashford publicly admitted that he was ready to seek a new challenge away from Old Trafford after being dropped for the 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad.
So far, Rashford has been unable to find a new club and it’s looking increasingly likely he will remain at United ahead of the close of the winter transfer window on February 3.
In his post-match press conference after sinking Fulham, Amorim told reporters that he would rather play 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital than Rashford.
Amorim insisted he would not restore Rashford to the team unless he changes his attitude.
This is despite the fact that strikers Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee have managed just one goal between them since the beginning of December.
Soon after, Rashford took to Instagram, where he congratulated his teammates on their win vs. the Cottagers.
The Carrington academy graduate wrote on his Instagram stories, “Congratulations on the win lads.”
This may suggest that Rashford has not taken Amorim’s scathing remarks to heart. A previous report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the 27-year-old footballer wants to play for United again.
It was stated that he harbours no ill feelings towards Amorim and if picked again, he will give 100%.
