Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola remains eager to bring a leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid to England.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Rodrygo as the player in question.

Frontman Rodrygo, it is claimed, was the subject of intense interest on the part of Man City last summer, with boss Guardiola the ‘driving force’ behind the pursuit.

As much comes with the Spanish tactician nothing short of ‘in love’ with the talents possessed by the Real Madrid man.

Rodrygo in the end made the call to stay put in Spain’s capital, since rediscovering his brilliant best over the last couple of months.

But Guardiola remains more than keen on a future deal for the 24-year-old, alongside fellow Manchester giants United, and a number of Saudi clubs.

The legendary tactician will of course be afforded his latest chance to see Rodrygo’s talents up close on Tuesday night, when Man City and Real Madrid lock horns in a Champions League playoff clash at The Etihad.
