In view of the next season, Roma have started an important process that will see the club adjust and modify their roster to make it more compatiable with Gian Piero Gasperini’s philosophy.
The summer transfer window promises to be crucial for redefining the hierarchies within the team, with particular attention paid to the offensive department.
The Giallorossi attack is one of the areas that needs the most work. Currently, the squad has two main names: Artem Dovbyk and Eldor Shomurodov.
The former, coming off a season of ups and downs, has not yet fully convinced, even though his agent recently confirmed the Ukrainian striker’s permanence in the capital.
The situation is different for Shomurodov, regenerated under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri, so much so that he threatened Dovbyk in the technical preferences, but around whom persistent market rumors have been circulating for days.
To guarantee the leap in quality required by the new course, Roma will look for at least one offensive reinforcement.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the name of Vangelis Pavlidis is becoming more and more insistent.
The Greek striker, currently playing for Benfica, has concluded a brilliant season: 29 goals and 12 assists between the Portuguese championship and cups, performances that have increased his market valuation.
Today his price tag is estimated between 35 and 45 million.
Roma – who had alreayd monitored Pavlidis in the past – are said to have reignited their interest in him.
