Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be intensifying their efforts to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

Upon returning from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho appears to have reconciled with United manager Erik ten Hag since the pair’s fallout last season.

“As we said, we draw the line. Manchester United need good players and Jadon is a good player. We have drawn that line and we move on,” Ten Hag said after the 24-year-old’s return.

While Sancho played in all three pre-season games in the US, it appears that this is no guarantee that he will play a part in the upcoming season.

At the start of the summer transfer window, PSG expressed an interest in signing Sancho, with Manuel Ugarte expected to depart for United as part of a proposed swap deal.

Last month, PSG advanced in their pursuit of Sancho, reportedly agreeing personal terms with Sancho.

Yesterday, Fabrizio Romano claimed that there is still a chance that Sancho could leave Old Trafford late in the transfer window although there is still a strong possibility that he would remain at the club.

Now, however, it appears as if the winger is edging closer towards the exit door.

Football Insider have reported that PSG are closing in on Sancho’s signature.

According to the report, United are openly willing to offload him this summer despite his reconciliation with Ten Hag. “Talks are underway with PSG, and sources claim that a deal is increasingly likely to happen this month,” the article declared.

With Sancho potentially departing Old Trafford, the report claimed that United are more focused on signing another striker this transfer window given Rasmus Hojlund’s recent injury which could see the Dane sidelined for the first six weeks of the season.

As previously discussed by The Peoples Person, Sancho exhibited great potential during his time at Borussia Dortmund despite his substandard spell for United.

Perhaps the club would be better off making use of him and boosting his market value rather than pawning him off this summer.

On the other hand, the club has plenty of wingers to choose from, meaning that selling Sancho could provide a major financial boost as the club seeks to fill more urgent roles including a backup striker and perhaps a central midfielder.
