Palhinha Gets 8, Vicario With 7.5 | Tottenham Hotspur Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Manchester City

Tottenham Hotspur faced off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a positive result on the road in the Premier League. Spurs made a solid start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 35th minute thanks to Brennan Johnson’s goal. Joao Palhinha doubled the North London club’s lead just seven minutes later as Thomas Frank’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Tottenham controlled the game well in the second half and secured an impressive 2-0 win at the Etihad.

Vicario made a few solid saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet this afternoon.
RB: Pedro Porro – 7/10
He came back to defend when needed and was a threat in the final third.
CB: Cristian Romero – 7/10
Romero was a rock at the back for Tottenham and did enough to keep a clean sheet.
CB: Micky van de Ven – 7/10
He dealt with the danger when needed and was accurate with his ball distribution.

LB: Djed Spence – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the opponent’s half.
CM: Pape Matar Sarr – 7/10
Sarr was full of energy and running at the centre of the park.
CM: Joao Palhinha – 8/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and managed to score in the latter stages of the first half.
CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 7/10
Bentancur was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
RW: Mohammed Kudus – 7/10
He made a few dangerous runs with the ball and came back to defend when needed.
ST: Richarlison – 7/10
Richarlison was a real handful for the opposition defenders and did well to end the game with an assist to his name.
LW: Brennan Johnson – 7/10
He opened the goal-scoring for Spurs in the 35th minute but was quiet otherwise.
