Leeds United are on their way back to the top flight of English football after securing promotion from the Championship, and the Premier League will be richer for it.
An iconic name inthe domestic footballing landscape, Elland Road has seen one magical moment after another alongside equally painful memories many try to erase.
But it was on the road at Arsenal on this day 22 years ago that Mark Viduka capped off a brilliant performance to help rescue the Whites from the drop when they claimed a 3-2 win at Highbury.
Goals from Harry Kewell, Thierry Henry, Ian Harte, and Dennis Bergkamp laid the framework for what was to come when Dominic Matteo won possession in their third of the pitch before a driving run ultimately picked out Viduka down the right-hand channel.
The big Australian striker would eventually cut in on his left before dispatching a bending effort into the far corner past David Season to secure an unlikely win.
It was Viduka's 13th goal across a ten-match run that would help the club survive for one more year.
