Osimhen hands in sick note to miss Napoli training while waiting for Galatasaray | OneFootball

Reports in Italy claim that Victor Osimhen handed in a sick not to get out of the first day of pre-season training with Napoli while he waits for the completion of his permanent transfer to Galatasaray.

Napoli and Galatasaray continue to haggle over the payment structure of a deal for Osimhen, despite Galatasaray having agreed to meet the €75m release clause in the Nigeria international’s Partenopei contract.

Recent updates claim that Napoli are holding out for a payment of €55m up front, with the remaining €20m to be paid in instalments, while Galatasaray’s latest offer is reportedly at €40m with €35m to be paid in instalments.

Osimhen skips Napoli pre-season training

As the deal has not yet been officially completed, Osimhen remains a Napoli player.

However, the 26-year-old did not report for the first day of Napoli’s pre-season training under Antonio Conte on Monday.

Instead, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen handed in a medical certificate, or sick note, in order to get out of training with Napoli on Monday.

The two clubs are expected to continue their negotiations on Monday in order to come to a resolution to the transfer.
