Reports from Germany have now revealed Manchester City’s eye-watering salary package to be presented to Omar Marmoush at the Etihad Stadium.

The 25-year-old is expected to undergo a Manchester City medical on Monday having seen the two clubs involved in his transfer negotiation reach an agreement on a fee after several days of consecutive discussions.

Marmoush is expected to become the Premier League champions’ third arrival of the ongoing January transfer window, following in the footsteps of Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis from RC Lens and Palmeiras respectively.

The market could see Manchester City officials welcome up to six new names, with some reports suggestion that a total spend of £250 million is possible this month, depending on the progress of talks with various players of interest.

It is a clear sign of intent from the Etihad Stadium club, who have also shown significant faith in Omar Marmoush in particular, with his own personal financial agreement with Manchester City surfacing in German media.

According to the information of Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger, Marmoush’s salary at Manchester City will be worth around €16 million gross per year, and as such €10 million net over the same period.

The salary at the Etihad Stadium will represent a significant uplift on his current Eintracht Frankfurt package, as it is pointed out that the 25-year-old currently earns around €2 million gross at the Bundesliga club.

As for the transfer fee to be issued by Manchester City in their primary forward target for the ongoing window, Berger reaffirms that the Premier League champions are due to spend €75 million plus a further €5 million in add-ons.

However, other sources have disputed that fee and have pointed towards a €75 million total agreement.

One further element of Marmoush’s move to Manchester City that remains unknown at present is the player’s selected shirt number for his time at the club, although his Eintracht Frankfurt jersey is available.

Joao Cancelo’s move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia left the iconic number 7 shirt free and available at the club, with previous players wearing the jersey including Raheem Sterling and James Milner.

Marmoush would be expected to take up that number upon his arrival, having worn the number to great success with Eintracht Frankfurt, while fellow arrival Abdukodir Khusanov has selected the 45 shirt – most notably worn by Mario Balotelli under Roberto Mancini.
