Official: Tsimikas joins Roma from Liverpool | OneFootball

Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas has joined Roma on a season-long loan, the Serie A side have confirmed.

Posting on their official channels, the Giallorossi welcomed the Greek international, who will reportedly join with Roma covering his wages, no base loan fee and no option-to-buy.

The 29-year-old has chosen the number 12 shirt and he is the eight Greek player to play for the Roman side.

Tsimikas joins Roma on loan from Liverpool

With the arrival of Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez at Liverpool this summer, Tsimikas found himself on the fringes of head coach Arne Slot’s side.

Since joining the Reds from Olympiacos in 2020, the Greek international has been a reliable player under both Jurgen Klopp and Slot. The left-back has 115 appearances for the Merseyside team in all competitions and is yet to score his first goal for the club.

The former Olympiacos player has 41 appearances for the Greek national team and made his debut in 2018.
