Malick Thiaw is no long a Milan player.

Thiaw arrived in Milan in 2022 from Schalke and established himself as a reliable option for the Rossoneri at the back, although not always the starting choice.

However, despite Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare being impressed by the German in pre-season, the club and Malick chose to separate ways and Thiaw begins a new adventure in England.

“Milan announced that Malick Thiaw has made a permanent transfer to Newcastle United FC. The Club thanks Malick for his commitment and professionalism at all times, and wishes him the very best for the future, both personally and professionally,” a statement confirmed on Tuesday night.

It’s believed that Newcastle are paying €42m including bonuses for the 24-year-old. Milan are replacing him with Koni De Winter from Genoa, who already underwent his medical.
