Former Richards Bay striker Thabiso Kutumela has signed for AmaZulu FC following his exit from the Natal Rich Boys at the end of last season.

The 32-year-old forward joined Bay on a one-year deal at the beginning of last season and was not retained for the ongoing term after scoring a solitary goal in 11 matches across all competitions.

Kutumela was on the wilderness as result and caught the eye in the recently concluded 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) co-hosted by Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star had an impressive tournament, scoring three goals in four matches played as Bafana Bafana crashed out in the group stages.

Now, the player will bring much needed firepower for coach Arthur Zwane and Usuthu, who have somewhat struggled in front of goal, having scored four goals in five league outings.

Moreover, Kutumela will add experience and winning mentality as he lifted a total of four trophies during his time with Sundowns, including two league titles and one MTN8 and as many Nedbank Cup titles.
