Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani in midfield, and Carlos Augusto in defense against Monza. This evening’s Serie A matchday 4 clash kicks off at 20.45 CET.

Inter are returning from the international break.

The Nerazzurri return to action with a trip north to face Lombard rivals Monza.

Inter also have matches against Manchester City in the Champions League and AC Milan in Serie A this coming week. Therefore, coach Inzaghi has an eye on those matches as well.

Accordingly, the Inter coach has decided to make some changes to the starting eleven.

Firstly, Inzaghi has made to changes to the defense.

Therefore, Stefan de Vrij and Carlos Augusto replace Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni. Then, Benjamin Pavard completes the back three in front of goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

Meanwhile, on the flanks, Inzaghi has stuck with Italian international duo Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian.

Frattesi & Asllani Start In Midfield

Meanwhile, in midfield there are two changes.

Therefore, Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani take the place of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu in the central trio of Inter’s starting eleven.

Lastly, in attack Inzaghi has not rotated the team.

Accordingly, first-choice duo Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram lead the line for the Nerazzurri.

As such, the likes of Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic have to settle for a place on the bench.

In terms of injuries, Tajon Buchanan is still on the sidelines as he recovers from a broken leg that he sustained during the summer.

The Canadian is getting closer and closer to being able to make a return. However, that is still several weeks away.
