Juventus say medical examinations undergone by Nicolò Savona on Thursday ruled out injuries, although the defender’s condition will be ‘assessed in the coming days.’
The Italian right-back was subbed off in the second half of Juventus’ 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Wednesday.
“Following the discomfort felt in his right adductor during the second half of the Champions League fixture against Aston Villa, Juventus Men’s First team player Nicolo Savona underwent tests today, Thursday, 28 November,” Juventus said in a statement.
“The initial examinations have ruled out injuries, and his condition will be assessed in the coming days.”
Several Bianconeri players are already out of action, including their best scorer, Dusan Vlahovic, and defenders Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal.
After spending the entire pre-season with the first team, Savona, 21, made his Serie A debut under Motta in August.

He has two goals in 16 appearances across all competitions this season and started four of the last five Juventus games.
Savona received his first senior Italy call-up in November but has yet to debut with La Nazionale.
Juventus visit Lecce in the next Serie A round on Sunday, December 1.
The Serie A giants are still unbeaten in Serie A but sit 6th in the table, four points behind table leaders Napoli.
