A formal statement from the Bianconeri confirms this is a loan for €4.5m, plus an option to buy at the end of the season for a further €13.5m payable in three instalments and €0.8m in add-ons.

There are also a further set of performance-related bonuses up to €2m.

The total cost the operation is therefore set at €18m.

If certain conditions are met during the campaign, then Juventus will turn that option into an obligation to make the move permanent.

Di Gregorio’s path to Juventus

Di Gregorio turns 27 later this month and came up through the Inter youth academy, having loan experiences with Renate, Avellino, Novara and Pordenone before the sale to Monza.

That was initially a loan in 2020, made permanent in 2022 for a total €4.35m fee.
