Juventus have officially announced the sale of midfielder Douglas Luiz to Premier League side Nottingham Forest in a permanent deal, just one year after he joined the Bianconeri from Aston Villa for a total package of €31.5m.
The Bianconeri have provided a full break-down of the financial details involved in the transfer.
Douglas Luiz will technically move on an initial season-long loan deal at a cost of €3m, with a conditional obligation to buy set at €25m, which is payable over four instalments, plus bonuses of up to €3.5m, which if achieved, will take the full cost of the deal up to €31.5m.

The Old Lady have decided to cut their losses on the Brazilian, who joined the club for a fee of €50m from Aston Villa last summer.
Douglas struggled to make an impression during his time in Serie A, and was only called upon three times as a starter in the league last season. He then failed to report for the first few days of Juventus’s pre-season training programme under Igor Tudor this summer.
“Best of luck for the future, Douglas!,” Juventus wrote in a statement on the club website.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, wrote: “Nottingham Forest is delighted to announce the signing of Douglas Luiz, who joins from Juventus.
The Brazilian joins on an initial season-long loan, with a conditional obligation to become a permanent deal next summer.
Spending one year in Italy, the midfielder brings a wealth of experience to Forest having played in the Champions League for Juventus during his spell in Turin.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Luiz started his career at Vasco da Gama where he attracted the attention of Manchester City, who Luiz signed for in 2017. Following two years on loan in Spain with Girona, he then moved to Aston Villa in 2019 where he would go one to play over 200 times for the Villans.
A central midfielder capable of playing as a deep lying number six or as a more progressive eight, Luiz has an impressive goal contribution record in England, scoring 22 times and registering 24 assists in claret and blue.
After a standout year in 2023/23 for Villa, Luiz was voted both Supporter’s Player of the Season and Player’s Player of the Season.”
