A day after the officialisation of Ahmed Hassan’s (32) departure, Le Havre AC have confirmed that Fodé Ballo-Touré (28) has also left the club upon the expiry of his deal.

Like Egypt international Hassan, Ballo-Touré joined Les Ciel et Marines on a short-term deal during the January transfer window with the mission to keep the club in the top-flight. That objective was secured during the dying minutes of the final game of the Ligue 1 season, against RC Strasbourg Alsace.

Hassan’s departure was made official on Monday, and just one day later, Ballo-Touré has also left. Neither have seen their short-term deal with Le Havre extended for the coming season. Former AC Milan and AS Monaco defender Ballo-Touré made 10 appearances over the course of his six-month stint in the Normand region.

Out of contract for almost a month, he is now on the search for a new club as a free agent.
