Leicester City confirmed they officially completed the signing of Woyo Coulibaly from Parma, with the deal now subject to Premier League and international clearance.

The 25-year-old joined the Ducali from Le Havre in 2021 and has since drawn attention for his consistent displays, completing three seasons in Serie B before picking up two assists from 14 appearances in his first top-tier season in Italy.

The Premier League side confirmed on Wednesday that the defender has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract.

“We’re delighted to confirm that defender Woyo Coulibaly has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal to become a Leicester City player after an agreement was reached with Italian Serie A side Parma, subject to international clearance,” an official statement from the Foxes read.

The Frenchman spoke to his new side’s official website: “It’s an honour to be here,” he said.

“I feel very good, very welcomed and the training ground is very impressive. There’s been a lot of impressive players at the Club. It’s going to be a challenge in the Premier League but one that I’m very much looking forward to.”
