The club’s official website stated, “Olympique de Marseille is delighted to announce the signing of Angel Gomes. The 24-year-old English international attacking midfielder has joined the club from LOSC.”

Gomes will join up with his former teammate in the United academy, Mason Greenwood, who enjoyed an excellent first season in France.

Gomes recently spoke on his desire to return to the England senior squad under Thomas Tuchel.

The former United academy star could make his debut for Les Phocéens when they take on R.O.C. de Charleroi-Marchienne on the 21st July in their opening pre-season fixture.
