After Milan Futuro’s 3-2 win against Campobasso, srcyred eiyh a late winner, head coach Massimo Oddo spoke at the post-match press conference and shares his thoughts on the result.
Oddo’s side headed into the clash as the last-placed team in Group B of Serie C, following the defeat to Arezzo last weekend. The manager received a red card then, so he wasn’t on the sidelines today but followed the action from the stands.
After first-half goals from Francesco Camarda and Gabriele Alesi, Milan had a very good position but as seen so many times before, they squandered the lead. Campobasso scored early in the second half and the 92nd minute, converting a penalty.
Fortunately, Milan snatched all three points thanks to a great strike from Michele Camporese. In the press conference room after the game, as cited by MilanNews, Oddo shared his thoughts on the result and the performance overall.
“A hard-fought victory in the dirtiest match we’ve played. We would have deserved much more in other matches, but today we played a decent first half and then, as usual, we weren’t able to manage some balls but these guys believed until the end.
“We finally won a dirty match, these are victories that give a lot. If we had had this electricity in other games, we probably would have brought home more points. May this afternoon be a guiding light for our future, we really needed a victory like that.
“The team’s path since I arrived is certainly positive. Then, of course, something is always missing but we were good at putting everything into it today,” he stated.
