According to Talk Norwich City and BBC Norfolk's Chris Reeve, the 31-year-old has been at the Canaries’ training ground earlier this week amid interest in his appointment.

The Norfolk outfit are searching for a successor to David Wagner following the German’s dismissal earlier this month.

Wagner guided the team to the play-offs with a sixth-place finish in the Championship, but a 4-0 loss to Leeds United at Elland Road ended his time with the club.

Norwich will be hoping that their next manager can go one step further than Wagner and bring the club back to the Premier League.

Norwich eyeing Will Still appointment

Still previously worked with French side Reims, where he earned a reputation as a bright, up-and-coming coaching prospect.

He had the Ligue 1 side competing for qualification for Europe before poor form in his final weeks at the helm saw them fall down the table.

This poor form led to his departure from the club, amid speculation linking him with the head coach vacancy at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland are also searching for a new appointment following Michael Beale’s exit in February.

Mike Dodds had been in the role on an interim basis until the end of the campaign, with Still considered one of the leading candidates.

However, Norwich could now steal a march on the Black Cats in the race to appoint the young coach.

It is believed that Still has spoken with the Canaries’ hierarchy over potentially taking the position.

He is considered one of the candidates to replace Wagner, with sporting director Ben Knapper playing an involved role in the hiring process.

Knapper joined the Championship side last November, replacing Stuart Webber in the role.

This will be his first summer transfer window with the club in what could be a very busy summer at Carrow Road.

Norwich’s promotion disappointment

Norwich had turned around their poor early-season form to earn a play-off place under Wagner.

However, a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Leeds in the second leg ended their hopes of a Premier League return.

This proved to be the 52-year-old’s final game in charge at Norwich, with the club opting for a change in manager in between campaigns.

Still has no previous experience working in English football, but has already managed in one of Europe’s top five leagues, having been in charge of Reims for 18 months.

Will Still would be an exciting appointment by Norwich

There has been a lot of talk about what Still could do if appointed at Sunderland, but he could instead prove a game-changer for Norwich.

This would be a real coup for the Canaries, as the 31-year-old has built an impressive CV in a short span of time.

His work with Reims caught many peoples’ attention, with his attractive style of playing helping the club punch above its weight.

Given Sunderland have been weighing up his appointment for quite some time, it would also be a big victory to appoint him ahead of their potential promotion rivals for next season.
