Neymar makes a convincing comeback with Santos

Back on the pitch after suffering an injury in early June, Neymar wasted no time shining. On Thursday night into Friday, the Brazilian forward reconnected with Santos in a friendly match, which ended with a 3-1 victory over Desportiva Ferroviária.

Named in the starting lineup, Neymar made his mark in the first half. In the 19th minute, he opened the scoring with a penalty before providing an assist to Guilherme, who made it 2-0 in the 31st minute. Although he only played one half, the former PSG star showed that he's gradually regaining his touch.

In the second half, Mariano pulled one back for Ferroviária (64’), before Diego Pituca sealed the win for the Paulistas (74’). After the match, Neymar stated:
