The bottom three also now looking all but a formality as well, all but inevitable that Leicester and Ipswich join Southampton in getting instant relegation after promotion.

If you are wondering about the Man City 16/1 odds of relegation, this is due to the possibility (probability?) of severe punishment from the 115 Premier League charges they face, which could include amongst other sanctions, points deduction or even relegation. Still waiting for the outcome of that case.

Can Newcastle United bounce back into the Premier League top four and get Champions League football?

Well, the bookies now have NUFC fifth most likely to finish top four.

With it now guaranteed that fifth place will get a Champions League spot, there is that big extra potential cushion if United fall just short of top four.

A couple of bookies have now opened a market on finishing in the Premier League top five, no offers on Liverpool and Arsenal as they are seen as sure things, but for the other three places in the top five the best odds are:

As I say, only a couple of the bookies have priced up this finishing top five market and safe to say, less than generous with their odds. Having four different clubs odds on for the three places, then Villa on 4/1 as well.
