Crystal Palace moved to 11th in the Premier League table after securing a 1-0 win over Ipswich Town at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Ismaila Sarr scored the only goal of the match as the Eagles picked up their fourth win in a row in all competitions.

After a poor start to the season, Palace have shown remarkable improvement under Oliver Glasner, and they are now aiming for a top-half finish.

In the absence of Jean-Philippe Mateta, the door was open for Eddie Nketiah to make an impact. Instead, he blew his chance.

The Daily Mail described him as “ineffective” and gave him a 4/10 rating for his performance.

In the first half, Adam Wharton picked Nketiah with a gorgeous through pass, but the former Arsenal striker could only hit his shot straight at the keeper.

Nketiah moved to Selhurst Park in the summer window from Arsenal, and he hasn’t been as effective as many had expected. The 25-year-old has managed just one goal in seven starts in the Premier League and scored two more in the Carabao Cup.

Glasner revealed that Mateta should return after the international break, and the French striker should go straight into the straight line-up. He is currently out of action after being brutally kicked in the head by Millwall keeper Liam Roberts in the FA Cup.

Clinton Morrison was full of praise for Sarr and described him as “outstanding” after his brilliant finish against the Tractor Boys. Palace will now enjoy a lengthy break and will face Fulham in the FA Cup on 29 March.
