Pep Guardiola was asked about the condition of Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake heading into tomorrow’s match during his pre-game press conference today. The City manager had a positive update on Grealish after he missed Saturday’s win over Fulham due to illness. He also told the media that it will depend on how Nathan Ake trains today if he is available for tomorrow night’s clash with Spurs. Guardiola told the media: “Jack is recovered from illness. Nathan was much better yesterday, Now we are going to train, and we will see if he can train later today. (Ake’s injury) Is not serious, but it’s only three days since last game to tomorrow.”

Attention will now shift to City’s training session later today for any clues as to Ake’s condition. The defender was substituted early in the first half of City’s 4-nil win over Fulham. He suffered what looked to be a calf injury while making crucial intervention early in Saturday’s match at Craven Cottage.
