Napoli have tabled an offer for Tottenham Hotspur linked centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno as they look to line up a summer transfer window swoop.

The 24-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a move away from Torino in the summer

The centre-back is wanted by several clubs, including Tottenham, who are considering making a move for him.

Buongiorno has not ruled out a move to the Premier League but he is a big target for several big clubs in Serie A as well.

He is a top target for Napoli and according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport (via TuttoNapoli), they have put in an offer for the centre-back.

Napoli have offered a fee of €35m to Torino and are prepared to put in another €5m based on performance-based add-ons.

The Serie A giants are pushing hard to convince Torino to sell the defender in the coming weeks.

It remains to be seen whether more clubs are forced to move for him soon given Napoli have already played their cards.
