Moussa Sylla, a new serious target for Valencia?
As the Umar Sadiq saga continues to drag on, Valencia CF is actively exploring other options to bolster its attack. And one of the most concrete leads points to Germany: Moussa Sylla, the Malian striker from Schalke 04.
At 26 years old (turning 27 in November), Sylla came up through the ranks at AS Monaco before moving to the Netherlands with FC Utrecht, then returning to France with Pau FC, where he broke out during the 2023-2024 season by netting 15 goals in 35 Ligue 2 matches. His impressive performances paved his way to Germany: arriving at Schalke in 2024 and contracted until 2028, he made an instant impact in his debut season in the 2. Bundesliga, scoring 16 goals in 27 appearances.
Despite this impressive output, the striker now finds himself on the list of potential departures. According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Valencia and Schalke are already in advanced negotiations for a loan deal with an option to buy. This presents an opportunity for the Spanish club's management, who are seeking a striker capable of delivering immediate efficiency in the box.
