Morata states he will send Corbetta Mayor a Milan shirt after being given Tapiro d’oro | OneFootball

In recent days, AC Milan newbie Alvaro Morata has been entwined in some a small altercation on social media with the Mayor of Corbetta revealing the Spaniard lived in the area. Today he has been given the Tapiro d’oro, and assured fans that all is well.

Morata certainly has not had the easiest introduction to life in Milan. He has already spent time sidelined, and there were worries that he had suffered another injury in training last week, but this was revealed to be nothing.

It has not been all bad for the Spaniard, though, and he has already scored two goals for the Rossoneri, whilst also being trialled successfully in a new position.

Recently, the striker was involved in a frustrating event on social media, when the Mayor of Corbetta announced his presence within the area – an obviously annoying thing for anyone, let alone someone in the public eye – and today, he revealed the Tapiro d’oro for the events.

Gifted the award by Valerio Stafelli, the striker’s words have been relayed by Striscia.

“Maybe the mayor should improve his TikTok and do some dancing. We’ll send him an AC Milan shirt, see if he’ll go to the right side of town [he laughs]. The important thing is to protect the children. Now leave the mayor alone, it was just a joke. In the next place, I go to live, it must be written in the contract that the mayor is a Milanista [he laughs].”
